Waterproofing an E30 Convertible

Postby fquarry on Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:47 pm

Hi, can anyone recommend a good product to waterproof the canvas roof of an E30 convertible. Also, has anyone used those breathable car covers? I’ve heard that the can cause bad condensation. Even the breathable ones...

I have a cover we got on ebay for the e28, works fine and no condensation. Trick is to make sure you only ever put it on a perfectly dry car, even better if it's left in an area that gets some sunlight (unlike ours).

As for a waterproofing product I've no idea, never had a cabrio. We don't get the weather for them in the Highlands. It's mid March and there are still piles of snow in the driveway!
