This is kinda BMW related, and also not, so I put it here, and as the power of being a Mod has gone to my head I can do what I like so mwwwhhhaaahhaaahhhaa (rubbing hands together in an evil fashion)....

It was our 1st Wedding anniversary Last Saturday. One whole year (more) of not being able to use my Utility room as it was intended because of engine parts.

I found it really hard to get a pressie for John. He's a man of little needs or wants (except for the rate at which he goes through socks), and as my Bank Account does not have the funds for the M1 he asked for I had to get creative.

On the wedding day we had two classic BM's as our wedding cars: My 1985 E28 M535i (fnnnnaaarrr) as the bridesmaids car, and our friend kindly allowed the use of and drive his E24 635csi (white, which was lucky) as the bridal car. We found these to be terribly appropriate. So as a pressie I ordered a display case, and got 1:18 models of both cars. I also got someone to make a digital print on canvas that was then attached to wood of the place we went to take our photos (Loch Morlich) to fit into one side of the case, so the mirror on the back would reflect it and the cars. the base of the case was green, and I had a little brass plaque made with "Mr and Mrs Burns, 10th May 2007".

He was very pleased.

So, Happy Anniversary Baby.

I'm lucky to have a such a good wife :-) Can't be many women who encourage their husbands to spend time playing with old BMWs and buy even more of them!

A very belated happy anniversary chaps. I only wish that Mrs George was as keen for me to have multiple BMW ownership rights !!

Mind you, she does love the 325i so it's not all bad. :D

How to travel 2 hours with Wedding cake? Wedding spot is almost 2 hours away. What is best way to travel, in heat, with large wedding cake?
