Just put some poly lower control arm bushings on my mate's Z3. Old ones looked OK but fell to bits when I removed them. This should be a worthwhile handling upgrade, well worth it if your BMW is a few years old.
The stock BMW bushings have too many voids and are made from too soft a rubber. Comfort over performance.
