Bigger brakes? More power? Stiffer suspension? This is place to ask.

E30 rims

Postby yanfoex » Thu Aug 13, 2009 5:23 pm

Just bought 325i cabriolet auto which is running on 16" rims instead of the original 15" BBS alloys. Tyres are 205/50/16. Any ideas as to correct tyre pressures? Incidentally the car (J reg) was stored for approx. 6 years and has covered less than 58000 miles. It's not perfect but not that far off - has leather interior, alarm, scorpion exhaust and a completely unused BBS alloy lurking in the boot ...

Nice car :-) I'd try 2.0 bar back and front, maybe even 1.9.

If the leather needs a refresh feed it with Neatsfoot oil, fiver a litre from anywhere horsey. Brush on lots and leave overnight, then buff off.

E30 rims

The rims look pretty good now, but not sure how tough the plasti-dip is but parts of the coating may wear or be scratched off and would, I think, make it look kind of messy.
