Terrible tale of engine woe on Pistonheads

I hope the guy selling this car doesn't mind me including his tale on here. His for sale E39 523iSE 's engine would test more than the patience of even the most ardent BMW fan. I think anybody reading his description of the cars engine problems will scratch their head in wonderment at his tenacity.
